The UEFA have appointed Kyros Vassaras to officiate at Tuesday night’s UEFA Champions League tie PSV - Olympique Lyon. The Greek referee was in charge of two PSV European games before. Last season Vassaras took charge of the first semi-final leg in Milan. PSV suffered a 2-0 defeat in San Siro and in spite of a 3-1 win in the second leg in Eindhoven, PSV did not reach the Champions League final. Vassaras was also in charge of the UEFA Cup tie PSV - AC Parma in the 2001-2002 season. The Eindhoven outfit enjoyed a 2-1 win. Vassaras will be assisted on Tuesday night by his country fellows Panagiotis Mavropoulos and Simeon Tsolakidis. Christoforos Zografos is the fourth official.
