Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has become a father. Last Tuesday his girl friend Laura gave birth to a son called Lucas, who is in perfect health. Mother and child are doing fine. "This is too good to be true", says Vennegoor of Hesselink, who is all smiles. "Incredible"Lucas was born between five o’clock and half past five. "It's incredible. I had never realized how beautiful this is", announced Vennegoor of Hesselink before the start of this morning’s training session. "Laura was having some hard times, but I am obviously awfully proud of her and Lucas." He has already performed his first few jobs as a brand new father, such as registering the birth of Lucas at the Register Office. "I did not get much sleep, but oh, this is so beautiful!!!"PSV sincerely congratulate Laura and Jan!!
