PSV have earned an emphatic 9-0 win over the amateur side SV Panningen in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday night. Jefferson Farfán scored three goals. Manuel da Costa was handed his debut for PSV. PSV took the lead on eleven minutes when Farfán fired home from a Roy Beerens cross. On the half hour mark PSV earned a penalty. The referee pointed at the stop after Da Costa had been fouled and Timmy Simons, who was wearing the captains armband last night, did not fail to convert. Farfán cleverly squared the ball to Mika Väyrynen who made it three on the stroke of half time. PSV made six changes during half time and had a bright start to the second period. The hosts held on for the first fifteen minutes, but then PSV ran riot. Gerald Sibon headed home a Farfán cross on 62 minutes and two minutes later Farfán intercepted a poor pass, rounded the goalkeeper and scored the fifth goal of the night. Soon afterwards the Peruvian set up Juan Carlos Carrizo who scored number six. The Eindhoven outfit scored three more goals in the final ten minutes. Farfán scored his third goal (0-7), Sibon found the net for the second time (0-8) and Csaba Fehér also had his name on the score sheet (0-9). Attendance: 2, 500.Goals: (11) Farfán 0-1; (29, penalty.)
