The Dutch Football Association Disciplinary Committee has made PSV goalkeeper Heurelho da Silva Gomes a proposal of a two-match ban. The prosecutor had earlier suggested a four-match ban. PSV did not agree with the first proposal, so a hearing took place on Thursday night. The PSV defenders Eric Addo and Michael Ball had been called up to testify. Gomes collided with Ajax midfielder Wesley Sneijder during last seasons Dutch Cup final. The prosecutor decided to start an investigation, as he claimed Gomes had made a kicking movement. PSV have the option to lodge an appeal before next Thursday or accept the proposal. If PSV agree with the proposal, Gomes will not be available for the Johan Cruijff Shield contest and the new seasons opening game, at home against N.E.C.
