The Koeman brothers analysed the PSV-Feyenoord top clash at the post-match press conference. PSV boss Ronald Koeman thought his team had put in a fine first-half performance, whereas his brother Erwin, the Feyenoord head coach, thought his side might have deserved a draw. "There have been times I have felt more comfortable, when I was sitting beside my brother", started Erwin Koeman the press conference, after PSV had earned a 2-1 draw. "I think we have cruelly slipped to defeat, although we played a good game from a tactical point of view. PSV took two of their chances, when we were not sharp enough. We should never have conceded that first goal, scored from a free kick. And when Kromkamp cut inside, it was 2-0 in no time. We did not offer enough in the first period, but met expectations after the break in an action packed game. We may have deserved the equaliser. We scored a correct goal, but I must admit PSV should also have been given a penalty. It was a thrilling finale. We only know too well we are having hectic times in Rotterdam", concluded Erwin Koeman. Ronald Koeman thought his team had put in a fine first-half performance and he had enjoyed the great performance that Arouna Koné had displayed, but he was not content with the ultimate outcome. "We played well during the first forty-five minutes, threatened up front and the different lines connected well. We were rewarded for our attacking ideas with a fine second goal. We had virtually wrapped up the game, when, suddenly ten second from the break, the game was turned upside down. We were caught napping, after they had thrown in. Feyenoord were given new hope and staged a brave come back. Koné threatened all the time, but his final pass lacked accuracy. There were some controversial decisions. Feyenoord scored a goal and I think it was a valid one, but I also think Koné was not in an off-side position when he scored. It was an equally contested game, but I feel we have made it hard on ourselves."Koeman thought Patrick Kluivert had done well on his debut for PSV. "Kluivert did well as a substitute and we will certainly benefit from him presence the next few weeks. As a striker he knows how to keep possession. He did not link well with all his team mates, but that is also due to the many changes in our team. We are on the right track." Jefferson Farfán, who had collided into Kluivert, was knocked down and he was on the ground for a long time, before he was taken to hospital for examination.
