After Ibrahim Afellay and Michael Reiziger had already rejoined their team mates on the training pitch on Thursday, Jefferson Farfán returned to training on Friday. The Peruvian forward was ruled out of Tuesday’s clash with Arsenal FC, after he had taken a heavy knock to his foot during the match against Heracles Almelo last weekend.
A great many fans, enjoying a Carnival break, had come to see the PSV players in action at training. The car parks were soon congested and the fans were closing ranks along the touchline. PSV head coach Ronald Koeman has an almost full-strength squad to choose from. Patrick Kluivert was the only absentee on Friday morning.
