On Tuesday night PSV trained on the perfect pitch at Anfield Stadium. About 44, 000 soccer fans are expected to crowd Anfield for Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League quarter-finals return leg. Ronald Koeman’s team did the familiar passing and finishing exercises and played a practise game of football.
The weather in the north west of England was fair and the temperature was quite reasonable, when an eighteen-man squad, including youngsters Dirk Marcellis, Olivier ter Horst and Rens van Eijden, inspected the pitch at Anfield. Patrick Kluivert, Jefferson Farfán and Diego Tardelli were all handed bibs for the practise game of football, just like Csaba Fehér and Eric Addo. The PSV coaching staff will announce their starting eleven tomorrow night, when PSV take on Liverpool, with kick-off at 19. 45 (local time)
