PSV reached the UEFA Cup quarter finals after claiming an aggregate 6-5 victory against over Tottenham Hotspur, following an exciting penalty shoot-out. Sef Vergoossen and his squad will find out this afternoon who they will face in the last eight. The draw to determine both the quarter-finals and semi-finals will be held at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland at 13:00. PSV will come up against one of FC Bayern München, Fiorentina, Getafe, Bayer Leverkusen, Glasgow Rangers, Sporting Lisbon and Zenit St Petersburg on April 3 and 10. The City of Manchester Stadium will host the 2008 UEFA Cup final.
Two UEFA Cup Round of 16 return fixtures were scheduled for Thursday evening. Werder Bremen enjoyed a 1-0 victory against Glasgow Rangers, but failed to cancel out a 2-0 deficit from the first leg. Sporting Lisbon also booked a place in the last eight. They drew 1-1 away at Bolton Wanderers in the first leg and beat their English opponents 1-0 at home last night.
