PSV will play a friendly match against RSC Anderlecht on Saturday 10 January 2009 as they step up preparations for the second part of the 2008/09 season. The friendly takes place at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium in Brussels, with an 8pm kick off.

RSC Anderlecht are currently lying second in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, trailing leaders Club Brugge by two points. Ariël Jacobs' team was eliminated by BATE in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. BATE were drawn in the same group as Juventus, Real Madrid and Dick Advocaat's Zenit St. Petersburg. PSV won two of their previous ten friendlies against RSC Anderlecht. They first met in Brussels on 16 October 1957, when PSV were battered 8-0. The two teams settled for a 1-1 draw on their last outing in Eindhoven on 3 August 1998.
