PSV trained in the Philips Stadium on Monday morning, ahead of the Champions League concluding fixture in Group D against Liverpool on Tuesday. Huub Stevens worked with twenty players, among whom Jan Kromkamp and Danny Koevermans. Ibrahim Afellay, who sprained an ankle against Atlético Madrid, was a noticeable absentee as were Mike Zonneveld and Bas Roorda.
Two players will be dropped
Two players will be dropped from the twenty-man squad on matchday. It is not known yet if Koevermans has fully recovered from the calf injury that ruled him out of the Groningen game. Kromkamp has returned to full training, after he sustained an ankle injury during the Cup tie against AZ one month ago. PSV coach Huub Stevens will preview the game at a press conference at the Philips Stadium later this afternoon.
