PSV coach Huub Stevens sticks with the same team that scored four goals against FC Groningen on Saturday. Nordin Amrabat and Otman Bakkal start for PSV when they face Liverpool FC in the concluding fixture in Group D at the Philips Stadium tonight, with a 20:45 CET kick off. Danny Koevermans is fit enough to stay with the squad and starts on the bench.
Carlos Salcido
So Huub Stevens keep faith with the team that recovered from a two-goal half-time deficit to defeat FC Groningen on Saturday. Huub Stevens introduced Otman Bakkal and Nordin Amrabat at half-time and the changes reaped immediate dividends, as PSV scored four goals in the space of fifteen minutes. Danny Koevermans is troubled by a calf problem, but starts on the bench, while Eric Addo has been dropped from the squad. Stevens has again named Carlos Salcido, the centre of interest this week, in his starting eleven. Danko Lazovic, who scored a double on Saturday, leads the attack, together with Amrabat, Balázs Dzsudzsák and Bakkal, who also bagged a brace against FC Groningen. Youngster Reimond Manco starts on the bench, along with Stef Nijland, who made his Champions League debut for PSV in Madrid. Huub Stevens' team are keen to finish third and thus ensure qualification to the UEFA Cup competition, but are dependent on the score in the other Group D game between Olympique Marseilles and Atlético Madrid. PSV need to better the result of Olympique Marseilles to reach the UEFA Cup last 32.
