Edison Méndez has been dropped from the squad that has left for a training camp in La Manga. The midfielder failed to return from his winter break in time and PSV coach Huub Stevens has ordered the midfielder to train with Young PSV this week. Carlos Salcido had been given permission to return later. He will also train with the reserves.

Salcido had been given permission to stay a bit longer in his native country Mexico. PSV officials have tried to book a straight flight from Mexico to Spain, but all the planes were fully booked. Salcido will now return to Eindhoven on Thursday and train with the reserves. Edison Méndez was to report back for training on Monday, but failed to return from his winter break in time. That's why PSV coach Huub Stevens dropped him from the squad that will prepare for the second half of the season be in La Manga from Wednesday to Saturday. The Ecuadorian will now train with Anton Janssen's reserves. The squad will jet off to Spain on Wednesday morning and fly back home on Saturday night.
