PSV MEDIA - Mark van Bommel told PSV TV that he thinks it is too early to plan a return to PSV. The midfielder admitted on Wednesday that he felt flattered by the request from PSV to rejoin them in summer, but added that he has signed a year's extension to his contract with FC Bayern Munich.
'Feel naturally flattered'
'PSV asked me to rejoin them. I think it's too early to plan a return to Eindhoven, though. I feel very fit and I think I meet expectations here. With all due respect, I rate the German league as a higher quality league than the Eredivisie in Holland. My ambition is to win the UEFA Champions League. I feel very strong and fit now and a return to PSV is not on the agenda yet', said Van Bommel. Bayer Munich's Dutch international skipper has meanwhile signed a year's extension to his contract with the defending Bundesliga champions. Van Bommel is still very much interested in PSV's performances. 'I obviously take a keen interest in my former club. PSV have won the Dutch title four times in a row, so I knew it would be very hard to clinch the title this season yet again. The current campaign may be looked upon as a transitional season, but PSV should again be serious title contenders next season.'
