PSV coach Guus Hiddink said at the post-match press conference that PSV are getting greedy at this stage of the campaign and want to win trophies. He showed his appreciation for the motivation shown by his team to finish the job quickly and in style.TOP Oss coach Harry van den Ham had hoped that the game would have become a real cup tie for long periods. "But actually it was all over after only ten minutes. I told my players beforehand that they would benefit from the experience of playing at this level, but I also warned them that they would be punished for every tiny little mistake they made. And thats exactly what happened. They scored six goals and most of them were the result of poor defending. We knew PSV are the best team if Holland. We might have had a slender chance if they had been less motivated, but they were not. All in all the final score is a fair result, although I was annoyed by some controversial decisions of the referee. When in doubt, he would always favour PSV", complained Van den Ham at the end of his analysis. Guus Hiddink said that he was content with the motivation displayed by his players. "We took this cup tie seriously and we were anxious to kill off the game as soon as possible. I was delighted to find out that my players kept up the concentration after the early 2-0 lead. We have now reached the Amstel Cup semi-finals and we are getting greedy at this stage of the campaign. We want to collect silverware, so I suppose wed better keep up the good work", concluded Hiddink.
