Ibrahim Afellay has been named up by Marco van Basten, coach of the Dutch national team, for the provisional squad that will play World Cup qualifying games against the Czech Republic and Macedonia. Altogether 33 players have been called up.Phillip CocuApart from Afellay, who has become a first team regular this season, the PSV players Phillip Cocu, Theo Lucius, André Ooijer and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink have also received an invitation. The selection of Cocu is remarkable, as the PSV captain was shown a red card in the latest qualifying game, at home against Andorra.
